Acupressure Points to Reduce Stress and Irritability – Massage Monday #216

Articles

Hi everyone. This is Yasuko and it’s time
for Massage Monday. I think it’s fair to say that the holiday
season is stressful for various reasons. This week I’m going to show you three acupressure
points to reduce stress and irritability. The first one is on your face. It’s on the
inner tip of the eyebrow where the bridge of the nose and eye socket meets. Press these
points on both sides as you breathe deeply for one minute. The second one is in the middle of your palm.
When you make a loose fist, it’s where your middle finger is touching. So it’s not exactly
in the middle but it’s slightly off to the side towards your thumb. Press this point
with a hooked thumb as you breathe deeply for one minute. And you can also do it on
the other side. The third one is on your foot. It’s at the
end of the valley between the big toe and the second toe. You will feel a very distinct
sensation. You can press or make short strokes with your fingertip as you breathe deeply
for one minute. If it’s hard to reach, use a tool such as back of the pencil with the
eraser or this is my massage rolling pin. I find the tip of the handle perfect for pressing
acupressure points. Once you learn the point and you know how it feels, you can also press
with your heel. If your toe is flexible enough you can also press it with a hooked big toe. Press these points as you get stressed out
or you get irritated about something. Or share these points with your loved ones if you see
them stressed out or irritated. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching. I’ll see
you back next week. Make it a great week and please don’t forget to subscribe.
