Improve Posture and Reduce Tension in 2 minutes

– Hi, I’m Dr Dave Kauffman, with Kauffman Chiropractic in Loveland, and today I’m gonna show you a simple thing to do
at the end of the day, takes two minutes, to reduce your neck tension and headaches. (music) If you’re like most people, you probably know that you
don’t have perfect posture. So, today, let’s talk
about what good posture is and a simple way to try
to correct that posture and relieve some tension. When you look at somebody from the side, you should see that the
tip of their shoulder and the middle of their
ear should line up. So, if you’re looking at
me from the side here, the tip of my shoulder should line up with the middle of my ear. But, most cases, we see
people going forward this way, which creates more neck tension
and more headaches here. So, if we can bring that posture
back into normal alignment, where the shoulder and the ear match up, that’s gonna relieve tension through the neck and through the head. So, how can we help correct your posture in just two minutes? Well, I’ve found this simple little device called a cervical orthosis. And all you do is lay back on this thing for two minutes at the end of the day, and that can help to correct your posture. I’ll show you real quick. If you’re thinking, “Well, I
don’t have one of these things, “so I can’t do this,” well, all you need is
a bath towel instead. And you can take a bath towel and roll it. And you take the rolled bath towel, stick it right behind your neck, just like you would the
cervical orthosis device, and then you’re going to lay
back onto the bath towel. Do that for just two minutes
a night for two weeks, and then see how you feel. If you’d like more information and you want to know if
ice or heat is better, or what kind of tea to drink
at night to reduce headaches, it’s all in my guide here, which is, “Four Steps to Headache Relief”. And you can get it by clicking
the download button below. Thanks for watching and
we’ll see you next time. (music) So, ideally, you’d have
one of these at home, to use at any time. But, if you don’t, you can
always grab a bath towel, wrap it up, roll it up, wrap it up.
